This is the second book in the Royal Spyness series by Rhys Bowen. This is a historical cozy set in England in 1932. Georgie is a cousin of the King, but doesn't have anything more than a title. Her family is from Scotland, a descendant of Robert Bruce but unfortunately her father lost all their money in the crash of 1929. Her mother is on her 4th or 5th husband and the only good part of that relationship is her grandfather who is a commoner who lives in Essex. Fortunately for Georgie he is a retired policeman who is able to help her when the Queen asks her to host the Princess of Bavaria at her townhouse. Problem is there is no money and no servants to help so creativity is needed. This austere living leads to some comical moments and near mishaps which add a fun aspect to the historical cozy.
Fans of history will enjoy this series as there is definitely bits of time specific references and storylines. If you like reading about the royals then you will enjoy this series as well.

A charming mystery set in England 1932. What’s not to like about a bit of royalty, country parties and murder. The story keeps the reader guessing til the end with plenty of plot twists
