interesting new series
This cozy feels a little atypical as the MC, Darby Piper, is a PI. This makes it feel a little less like an amateur detective that is so typical of cozy mysteries. I like the tough girl persona that Darby seems to give off. Her relationships are far from perfect and add to the drama of the mystery. There are plenty of surprising twists at the end keeping the reader in suspense til the end
