Harry Potter Professions

 2025 HPOOTP-Flourish & Blotts Reading Challenge-

The Wizarding Professions Challenge
Since we took on our N.E.W.T.s last year, it’s time to find a job! As usual, you set the challenge. Each of the 10 professions have 5 book prompts (as well as our bonus 2 prompt profession). You get to decide which career or careers you want to attempt! (& therefore can make the reading challenge as hard as you’d like!) To talk more about the challenge, join our Facebook group, HPOOTP-Flourish & Blotts!
As usual, YOU get to set your challenge. Each of the 10 Professions have 5 prompts. You can decide which profession(s) you want to attempt! Thus, you can build the challenge to the number of books you want to read! For example, you can choose to do only 1 profession and attempt-all 5 prompts. You can try 3 professions (15 books), or you can choose to go for all 10 (plus the bonus) professions (52 books) – or anywhere in between!
*If You completed any O NEWTS last year, you may use your O NEWT as a wild card for that subject (Replace the BOLD prompt with any book of your choice!) **Please note, you do NOT need to have participated in our NEWTs challenge to participate. This is just a fun tie in!

Prompts do NOT have to be completed in order. While the challenge is to read unique books for each prompt, this is your challenge and you can make the rules fit as you’d like. Any format of book (audiobook, physical book, ebook, comic, etc) counts–our rule of thumb is if you can mark it as ‘read’ on a book tracking site, it counts. You may notice that some of the prompts are wide open for interpretation. This is intentional and we encourage you to get creative in fulfilling these prompts! (And make sure to tell us about them too!) Again, this is your challenge and you’re free to interpret the rules and prompts as you see fit.

Don’t forget to join us in the HPOOTP-Flourish and Blotts Facebook group throughout the year for challenge discussions, group reads, readathons, and more!
