Review: You Belong To Me

You Belong To Me You Belong To Me by Mary Higgins Clark
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

always a roller coaster ride

As with any MHC book this one is full of twists and turns. Lots of hints at who is guilty and several suspects to keep the reader on their toes. I wish there were an infinite supply of her thrillers out there to read

Another thrilling adventure with Stone and his friends. Along with the mystery and car chases there is the standard bedroom adventures. Stone certainly has his luck with the ladies. I’m hoping the series continues after Woods’ passing

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is an interesting middle grade sci fi type series. It does a great job of combining futuristic technologies with adventure. Aldo mixed into the series is information about different aspects of science and exploration. This particular book focuses on animal conservation and is set in Africa- in Uganda and Namibia. The gorillas and Cheetahs are the main focus but there are other species included as well in particular the pangolin play a role in the story. The series is interesting and engaging.

Another well structured installment. Lots of plot twists and yummy recipe descriptions. Those familiar with Lake Geneva will relate to the setting of the book and the wealth described. The mystery was a bit solvable but the why was not and ended up being quite elaborate

A twist on the locked room mystery of Agatha Christie fame. Quigley sets the stage for a house party fundraiser gone wrong. The Grand dame of mysteries is not the only literary references she leaned into in this latest installment. She utilizes the Maltese Falcon and The man Who Knew Too Much as plot components as well. While I sussed out the guilty party the ending was still quite dramatic and engaging. Looking forward to the next book to see where Delilah’s life turns next.

This next book incorporates her whole team of friends and family in an engaging manner. The mystery itself was intriguing even if she does take some unnecessary risks at times. Her beagle, Cinnamon, is a perfect sidekick. any dog owner will love their connection

wonderful first in a new series. I enjoyed how strong of a MC Sloan is. Her back story is intriguing and will provide fodder for side storylines throughout the series if i had to guess. The mystery is full of possible suspects and it wasn't obvious who the guilty party was until the very end of the story. Beer lovers will enjoy all the details of brewing and flavor profiles. There is a large amount of detail on the German town of Leavenworth, WA included as well so those interested in Germanic details will enjoy those tidbits. I look forward to the next installment in the series to see how Sloan's life evolves.

What a fabulous ending to a fun series. The mystery was well constructed and I never suspected the guilty party. The story wrapped up the relationship between Everly and Grady. The epilogues provided a cool way to finish the stories and learn of their futures.

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

                                        always enjoyable

The series is so much fun especially given there are 2 mysteries within each book due to the books being written as part of the plot. In this book we meet the future mother in law. The meeting of the family is a common theme between the main book and the novel and its subplot. The crazy supporting cast is as crazy as ever and make a fun set of detectives I love how the series gives older protagonists a strong role

                                              Chapter Break Bingo Mar 25

We’re starting a new feature here on Chapter Break to play a little bookish BINGO! We’ll have a new card each month and the goal is to get the most squares filled in, blackout style.

                                              Rules:

                                              • You may use the same book to fill multiple squares
                                              • You must have read (finished) the book in that month to count for that particular month’s card

Share your bingo card at the end of each month and list the of books you used to fill in each of the squares. Link up your post and we’ll plug the winner for each month’s bingo card. For funsies, we’ll also do a quarterly raffle for all participants.
